Adam Bow

Composer

Adam has been working as a composer in the game industry since 2017 and full‑time since 2019. He excels at writing rich, melodic orchestral pieces and other instrumental music, yet feels comfortable producing virtually any style.

He grew up with an SNES, and his early musical influences stem from titles such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Donkey Kong Country. More recently, composers like Austin Wintory and Bear McCreary have left a strong impression on him through their work on Journey, Abzu, and God of War. Over the past few years, his favourite games have been anything from FromSoftware, with Sekiro and Bloodborne standing out as particular favourites. Bloodborne’s score is one of his all‑time favourites, and its massive orchestral sound serves as a major source of inspiration.

Adam enjoys creating progressive, adaptive music for games, and the collaborative process of working with developers to help convey stories and draw players into engaging experiences. He earned his Bachelor of Music with first class honours from the New Zealand School of Music/Victoria University, Wellington.
